Source # 2

Source # 2- S.A.D.D. Statistics

Summary-
This source was part of a larger site that is the national education program S.A.D.D. the acronym stands for Students Against Drunk Driving, although this isn’t always the case. The program has tried to steer their focus away from directly speaking about drunk driving in teenager and more towards an entire slew of things. The acronym has gone back and forth from Drunk Driving to Destructive Decisions, but I feel that my topic applies regardless. The statistic page that I used was very helpful and informational in writing my paper even though I didn’t use more than one stat. The statistics include those featuring young people and the averages of the poor choices made by them on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. These apply to a wide range of issues such as smoking, drinking, marijuana use and even hallucinogen use among young people. It really helps open the eyes of the naive people who think kids don’t do these things.

Evaluation-
This internet source is clearly opposing the issues of destructive decisions and with that they are providing helpful facts and stats to more or less scare teens into making better choices, or parents into closer monitoring.  They provide many useful facts to help people catch up on current problems or to provide a quote for myself. It is all organized very well and presented in a readable fashion to accommodate anyone visiting the site. Everything I needed was provided and more. The site is a fantastic tool for anyone interested.
